LISA ASBREUK practiced corporate + energy law at McCarthy Tetrault LLP, a leading national law firm in the Toronto and Calgary offices before returning to Kingston in 2010 to raise her family and build an energy law practice in SE Ontario. She dedicates her personal and professional life to trying to work towards sustainable development, enabling clean energy projects, and supporting progressive business owners across industries. She served on the national board of Clean Prosperity for years, including work on major Canadian emissions laws and policies efforts which culminated in the carbon tax which withstood the Supreme Court of Canada challenge, and more recently the federal investment tax credits (ITCs) for clean technology. Lisa was elected to the national board of the Canadian Renewable Energy Industry Association (CANREA) from 2020-2023 and was recently re-elected for another 3 year term until 2026. She is a long-time SWITCH member and supporter and served on the SWITCH Board of Directors for years.
